The Allen-Bradley 140G-H6C4-C63 circuit breaker is a 4-pole circuit breaker with an H Frame enclosure. It is part of the 140G product line. The 140G-H6C4-C63 circuit breaker uses a fixed thermal/magnetic trip module. The rated current for this device is 63 Amps. The preconfigured settings for the magnetic and thermal trips are 630 and 63 Amps, respectively. The dimensions of the 140G-H6C4-C63 circuit breaker are 120 x 82.5 x 130 millimeters (width x depth x height) and its approximate weight is 1.6 kilograms. In order to avoid electric shock, Allen-Bradley recommends removing power from the system before the 140G-H6C4-C63 circuit breaker is installed and before maintenance is performed. The circuit breaker should be mounted inside an enclosure where it is protected from unsafe contaminants. Proper grounding is essential and an 8 AWG copper wire or copper braid (1 inch) should be used for the grounding of the breaker.
The maximum operating temperature of the 140G-H6C4-C63 circuit breaker is 40 degrees Celsius. Only copper wire with a temperature rating of 75 degrees Celsius or more should be used for the terminations on the 140G-H6C4-C63 circuit breaker. For the storage of unused 140G-H6C4-C63 breakers, a suitable facility should be used where the temperature is maintained between -40 and 80 degrees Celsius. The 140G-H6C4-C63 circuit breaker is capable of being used with AC and DC voltages and it is also certified by the UL, IEC, and CSA standards for global use. For AC voltages at 50 to 60 Hertz line frequency, the breaker interrupting rating at 240, 480, and 600 Volts is 150, 65, and 25 kiloamps. For DC voltages, the breaking capacity of the 140G-H6C4-C63 circuit breaker is 70 kiloamps at 250 Volts DC and 500 Volts DC.
