The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 140G-J6X3 circuit breaker is a J Frame only circuit breaker. It has an interrupting capacity of 35 kiloAmps at a voltage of 480 Volts AC. The 140G-J6X3 circuit breaker has a molded case and it supports a thermal-magnetic trip unit. Therefore, the trip’s contacts can be closed and opened many times without damage. The molded case is made of an insulating material such as a glass-polyester hybrid. Apart from providing insulation protection to the internal components, the frame provides a method by which all the required components can be mounted and kept in place. Also, the frame ensures that the breaker is strong enough to deal with the interruption process by comfortably handling the interrupt ratings. Additionally, the 140G-J6X3 circuit breaker, like other circuit breaker frames, provides isolation and insulation of the current path. However, the lugs accommodate different wire sizes. For example, they can support aluminum or copper wires with a size ranging from 2.5 millimeters squared to 50 millimeters squared. Where aluminum only wire is used, the terminal lugs support a size ranging from a minimum of 2.5 millimeters squared to a maximum of 185 millimeters squared. For multiple cables with copper wire, the terminal lug on the 140G-J6X3 circuit breaker accommodates a size ranging from 2.5 and 35 millimeters squared.
