The Allen-Bradley 140U-H-FCX06 UL Flex Operating Cable is a UL-489 listed operating cable assembly that is designed to provide control of a circuit breaker in tight-panel space applications. This device belongs to the H-Frame breaker family, which offers up to a 50% size reduction, providing a smaller footprint than other breakers that are suitable for applications with limited panel space. Circuit breakers in this series offer higher interrupting ratings than conventional breakers in their class, and they are suitable for control circuits, switching duty, High-intensity-discharge, and heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HACR) applications. The 140U-H-FCX06 Cable is an ideal option when flange mounting is required, and there is a need to control the circuit breaker externally.

Unlike the conventional operating handle that requires the circuit breaker to be installed directly on or close to the external handle, the 140U-H-FCX06 Cable provides control of the circuit breaker via a flexible cable outside the flange, thus providing flexibility in circuit breaker placement. The 140U-H-FCX06 Cable allows the circuit breaker to be installed close to the incoming feeder wires in many industrial control panels, thus saving installation and operational costs. The 140U-H-FCX06 Cable can be used in conjunction with a busbar mounting system within a control panel, thus expanding the feeder breaker installation position beyond the normal flange. The 140U-H-FCX06 Cable has a maximum cable length of 1.8 meters (6.0 feet), and it comes with a non-metallic flange-mountable handle.  The 140U-H-FCX06 Cable has a NEMA Type 1, 3, 12, 4, and 4X ingress protection rating, and it is rated for use within a -8 to 60 degrees Celsius temperature range.
