The Allen-Bradley 140U-I3C3-C30 Circuit Breaker has an Ampere Interrupting Capacity (AIC) rating of 35 kA at 480 Volts and a current rating of 30 Amps. This Molded Case Circuit Breaker (MCCB) has a magnetic trip mechanism that is instantaneous and non-adjustable compared to other frame size circuit breakers with instantaneous and adjustable magnetic trip mechanisms that are normally configured to any current value as preferred. The Allen-Bradley 140U-I3C3-C30 Circuit Breaker is used for current limiting which offers protection against overcurrent and fixed short-circuits. The circuit breakers manage to offer protection through mechanical means by using heat elements or through electronics that sense the flow of current and model the heat which is created by the current. The breaker provides high interrupting ratings for devices with 3-pole configurations.

The Allen-Bradley 140U-I3C3-C30 circuit breakers comply with industry standards that include the IEC, UL, and CSA standards and they have certifications which include the CCC, UL List, and CSA Certification. It has a storage temperature range of -40 to 70 degrees Celsius (-40 to 158 degrees Fahrenheit) and an operating temperature range of -25 to 70 degrees Celsius (-13 to 158 degrees Fahrenheit).
