The Allen-Bradley 140U-I6C3-C30-M Molded Case Circuit Breaker is a high-performance industrial circuit breaker that is designed to provide thermal over-current and short-circuit protection to industrial control panel applications. The 140U-I6C3-C30-M Circuit Breaker features a high interrupting rating in a very compact package (it is up to 50% smaller than traditional circuit breakers), and it suitable for back-feeding at 480 Volts AC voltage. This circuit breaker, like all bulletin 140U circuit breakers, can be used in HACR (Heating, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration) applications, high-intensity discharge applications, feeder circuit applications, and control circuit applications. The 140U-I6C3-C30-M Circuit Breaker has a 3-phase voltage rating of 690 Volts AC, and it has a current rating of 30 Amps. It has a maximum breaking capacity of 65 kA and a rated impulse voltage of 6.0 Kilo-Volts.

The 140U-I6C3-C30-M Circuit Breaker has a rated working mechanical life cycle of 100,000 operations and an electrical life cycle of up to 10,000 operations. This circuit breaker has a fixed thermal/fixed magnetic trip unit as its protection unit, and it uses a bimetal heat element and a reverse-loop contact mechanism for fast-acting thermal and magnetic trip action. The thermal trip action is produced when an incoming load heats the element, causing the deflection of the bimetal which in turn causes the circuit breaker to trip. The 140U-I6C3-C30-M Circuit Breaker comes with bolt-end type line and load end terminals, and it supports a wide range of external accessories that can extend its operational capability. The 140U-I6C3-C30-M Circuit Breaker has a wide operating temperature range of -8 degrees Celsius to 60 degrees Celsius and a maximum operating altitude of 2000 meters.
