The Allen-Bradley 140U-I6C3-C90 UL-listed Molded Case Circuit Breaker is an I-Frame series discontinued circuit breaker that is designed to provide short-circuit protection and thermal overcurrent protection to a wide variety of industrial control panels. This circuit breaker features a high breaking capacity with a fast-acting current limiting capability for enhanced circuit protection, and like every bulletin 140U circuit breaker, it is designed around a small footprint for saving panel space and installation costs. The 140U-I6C3-C90 Circuit Breaker is suitable for reverse feed use and it can be used with feeder circuits, control circuits, high-intensity discharge, and HACR applications. It comes with non-interchangeable internal components, and it supports the wide range of bulletin 140U field-installable accessories.

The 140U-I6C3-C90 Circuit Breaker has a carrying current capacity of 90 Amps, and it is designed for a circuit with 230 to 690 Volt AC ratings. It has an insulation voltage rating of 750 Volts and a standard impulse withstand voltage rating of 6.0 Kilo-Volts. The 140U-I6C3-C90 Circuit Breaker has a maximum interrupting rating of 65 Kiko-Amps (at 3-phase 480 Volts AC) and a rated mechanical life cycle of up to 100,000 operations. It comes with a non-adjustable thermal and magnetic trip unit that is designed to give fast-acting trip actions. The magnetic trip unit consists of a reverse loop contact and an operating mechanism that provides instantaneous magnetic trip action via a current generated magnetic field, which opens the contacts under short-circuit conditions. Thermal trip action is also provided via a bimetal heat element, which pushes the trip bar and causes a trip action when it is heated by the incoming load. The 140U-I6C3-C90 Circuit Breaker has a 3-pole design and it comes with a standard bolt-end cap terminal. It has an operating temperature range of -8 to 60 degrees Celsius and a maximum operating altitude of 2000 meters.
