The 140U-L-EOPD Motor Operator is a bulletin 140U MCCB accessory from Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. It has the capability to remotely open, close, and reset a circuit breaker. The 140U-L-EOPD Motor Operator is designed to be used with 600 Amps, L frame molded case circuit breakers. It has 110 to 240 Volts AC/DC of voltage. If the breaker is installed in a closed enclosure, which does not provide easy access to the operator handle, this motor operator can be used to remotely handle the breaker. The Allen-Bradley 140U-L-EOPD Motor Operator can be also used to operate the motor while allowing for increased operator safety.

The 140U-L-EOPD Motor Operator is supplied with an automatic/manual selector, and special tools and test features to locally operate the MCCB. It transmits commands via electrical control cables to open and close the breaker. When the motor operator and the breaker are off, pressing the "on" button energizes the motor and closes the breaker. The device has an internal limit switch to disable the control circuit. The motor operator incorporates a self-hold circuit for the closing and opening signals. Its auxiliary switch accommodates, returning the breaker to the "reset" position automatically after it has tripped. This motor operator is extremely reliable and it is designed to endure the same switching duty as the MCCB while providing easy field installation. The motor operator can be mounted on the front of the breaker. The terminal covers of the motor operator are used to prevent direct contact with live MCCB terminations. After installation, make sure to electrically test the motor operator per the electrical specifications.
