The Allen-Bradley 140U-L6G3-D60 Molded Case Circuit Breaker (MCCB) comes with a Size L frame, 3 poles, and 600 Amps of frame current rating. This MCCB can be used to turn an electric circuit on and off. The electronic trip unit of the breaker can tailor the tripping characteristics of the breaker and it provides additional tripping characteristics such as the long time, short time, and ground fault trips. The flex cable operator, multi-tap terminal lugs, end cap kit, and rotary operator are some of the accessories that are available for this breaker. This electromagnetic switch provides an instantaneous response to a short circuit fault. The 140U-L6G3-D60 Circuit Breaker has an internal arc dissipation mechanism to absorb the generated arc. This MCCB provides thermal protection for the feeder wires in industrial control panels but it is not suitable for applications that are intended for frequent short circuit interruptions.

The 140U-L6G3-D60 Molded Case Circuit Breaker is UL and CSA listed to meet industrial standards. The breaker has a time delay that allows the circuit to continue to operate in the inrush current when starting the motor without tripping the MCCB. It is suitable for use in large electrical power circuits as the feeder device and for use in distribution systems. The 140U-L6G3-D60 Circuit Breaker can also be used as the main control switch and an emergency stop switch. This MCCB requires no maintenance. However, periodic inspection is necessary to prevent unexpected failures. Within a -20 to 55 degrees Celsius temperature range, the electronic trip unit is insensitive to the ambient temperature, but exceeding this temperature can damage the electronics circuit in the trip unit. This breaker can be used as a manual disconnection switch during maintenance or in case of an emergency. Ensure that there is a good connection to the power supply and the load when wiring the breaker in a power circuit.
