The Allen-Bradley 1492-CB1G050 circuit breaker is a Bulletin 1492-CB circuit breaker. Bulletin 1492-CB breakers can be used for the protection of a wide range of industrial products including transformers, power supplies, test equipment, medical equipment, relay and contactor coils, computers, solenoids, and control instrumentation. The 1492-CB1G050 circuit breaker is a 1-pole circuit breaker rated for 5 Amps of continuous current rating. The 1492-CB1G050 circuit breaker supports a maximum of 0.5 Horsepower at 277 Volts AC (single-phase). The width of the circuit breaker is 0.7 inches, the height is 3.63 inches, and the depth is 2.72 inches. One circuit breaker is included per carton. The 1492-CB1G050 circuit breaker is both a motor controller and a supplementary protector in a single package. It can be used for motor disconnection. The breaker supports both AC and DC voltages.

The Allen-Bradley Bulletin 1492-CB breakers have an energy limiting design that helps to protect downstream components in a more effective manner than conventional breakers can. Several options are available for the field mounting of the breaker. The 1492-CB1G050 circuit breaker is available in an IP 2X finger-safe design. The dielectric strength for the 1492-CB1G050 circuit breaker is 1960 Volts AC. The operating temperature range is -40 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit. The storage temperature range is -40 to 180 degrees Fahrenheit. The housing of the breaker is made from melamine-phenolic. The recommended wire size for terminal connection is 16 AWG to 4 AWG and the recommended wire strip length is 0.51 inches. The electromechanical life at 240 Volts AC varies with the current: it is 50,000 cycles for up to 6 Amps of current, 30,000 cycles for 7 to 16 Amps of current, 20,000 cycles at 20 to 32 Amps of current, and 12,000 cycles at 40 to 50 Amps of current.
