The 1492-XIMTR4024-32R module is an Allen-Bradley 40-pin relay digital interface module with 32 relays and which is rated for 24 Volts DC. It is part of the Bulletin 1492 product line of high-density relay modules which offers improved performance in half the size of traditional relay modules. New relay modules from this family provide 6 Amps of switching capacity current (8 Amps per pair) which makes them highly suitable for installations that require higher switching capacities than what is provided by the PLC output modules. These new high-density relay modules eliminate the need for extender relay modules. Both solid-state relays and electromechanical relays can be used with the modules. The 1492 High-Density Relay modules are compatible with all Allen-Bradley PLC systems and they can also integrate with the PlantPAx process automation system which enables the management of the motion control, drives, application process, and safety functions from a single control platform.
The maximum recurring peak voltage for the 1492-XIMTR4024-32R module is 600 Volts AC. The peak current per circuit is 2 milliamps. The supported range of voltages is 20 to 26 Volts DC. The 1492-XIMTR4024-32R module complies with the CE standard and with the cULus standard for use in non-hazardous locations. The power and input/output wiring must be in accordance with the Class 1 wiring methods of the National Electrical Code. The recommended operating temperature range for the 1492-XIMTR4024-32R module is from 0 to 60 degrees Celsius. The approximate shipping weight of the 1492-XIMTR4024-32R module is 701 grams and the module dimensions are 83 x 240 x 70.5 millimeters. The non-condensing relative humidity in the area where the module is installed should be maintained between 5 and 95%.
