The 1606-XLP15E power supply is a DC power supply manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. It is easy to mount and connect. The 1606-XLP15E power supply is part of the Allen-Bradley 1606 family of power supplies. Its output voltage ranges from 24 Volts DC to 28 Volts DC. The input voltage ranges from 100 Volts AC to 240 Volts AC at a minimum frequency of 47 Hertz and at a maximum frequency of 63 Hertz. In order to meet local requirements when mounting, the 1606-XLP15E power supply has an internal fuse. However, during installation, all the relevant local codes should be consulted for further guidelines.

The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 1606-XLP15E power supply has a transient immunity rating of 750 Volts for 1.3 milliseconds. The power supply’s efficiency is rated at 80%. Note that the power supply has typical losses of 6 Watts. To prepare the 1606-XLP15E power supply for the industrial floor, after completion, Allen-Bradley runs a 100% functional test and run-in and burn-in test at a temperature exceeding 60 degrees Celsius. However, the reliability of the 1606-XLP15E power supply is tested at 40 degrees Celsius. To minimize the possibility of confusing the inputs and outputs, the 1606-XLP15E power supply is designed with its input terminals on its bottom side while its output terminals are placed on the upper side and clearly marked. The terminals are easy to reach and therefore easy to make connections with. The 1606-XLP15E power supply, like other power supplies in the same family, supports a free space for cooling that measures 25 millimeters with a ventilation grid.
