1606-XLRED40

|

The Allen-Bradley 1606-XLRED40 module is a redundant module from the Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation Bulletin 1606 product line. This redundant module allows the users to connect several power supply modules in a redundant setup in a system. There must be one 1606-XLRED40 redundant module for each power supply module in the system, and this redundant module decouples all of the power supply modules? outputs from each other so that if there is a power failure in one of the modules, it will not cause an overload in any of the other modules. The 1606-XLRED40 redundant module can handle high load currents of up to 50 Amps. Its operating temperature range is from -10 to 70 degrees Celsius.

The 1606-XLRED40 power supply is a redundancy power supply that has been designed and manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. It has an output voltage of 24 Volts DC and an input current of 40 Amps. The 1606-XLRED40 power supply features terminals that are easy to access since they are mounted on the front panel. The power supply is designed for use with high load currents. For example, it can be used with all applications that the Allen-Bradley 1606-XL960 power supply unit can handle. The 1606-XLRED40 power supply has a width of 48 millimeters, a height of 124 millimeters, and a depth of 117 millimeters. The 1606-XLRED40 power supply, like other redundancy power supplies manufactured by Allen-Bradley, supports a terminal tightening torque of 0.8 N-m.

By means of the 1606-XLRED40 power supply, several identical power supplies can be interconnected in a redundancy system. However, for the interconnected system to function optimally, one 1606-XLRED40 power supply is required for each power supply unit. The advantage of such an arrangement is that the modules decouple the power supply outputs from each other so that in case of failure, 1 power supply unit cannot overload the other power supply units. The decoupling part has a nominal voltage value of 24 Volts DC while the maximum voltage is rated at 35 Volts DC, with a short-term 45 Volts DC voltage rating. The voltage drop between the voltage in and the voltage out is typically 0.6 Volts. Additionally, the decoupling part has a current per input and output of 40 Amps nominal and 50 Amps maximum. The 1606-XLRED40 power supply supports connections via stable screw terminals. The redundant power supply weighs 646 grams.
