The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 1606-XLS960EE power supply has been designed and manufactured as part of the Bulletin 1606-XLS product line. It uses synchronous rectification technology to be as compact and efficient as possible. The 1606-XLS960EE power supply module can store up to 150% of its normal rated power in its power reserves and it can use that reserved power to start heavy loads such as industrial DC motors and capacitive loads. The continuous power rating of this power supply is 960 Watts and it can handle up to 1440 Watts of power for up to 4 seconds. The 1606-XLS960EE power supply module has an operational temperature range of -25 degrees Celsius to 70 degrees Celsius.

Designed by Allen-Bradley, the 1606-XLS960EE power supply is a 1606-XLS power supply. It delivers an industry-leading level of efficiency. The 1606-XLS960EE power supply comes with minimal heat generation and it delivers reduced associated running costs. This Allen-Bradley power supply comes as a redundancy module option that allows for backup power in critical applications. With a compact size design, the 1606-XLS960EE power supply takes up minimal panel space. The single-phase unit comes with an input frequency of 50 to 60 Hertz and it features a minimum input frequency of 47 Hertz while the maximum input frequency is 63 Hertz. The associated input voltage rating is 100 to 240 Volts AC while the unit comes with a nominal current of 4.6 Amps.

The 1606-XLS960EE power supply features the LED indicator that monitors the performance of the unit. The rated output voltage is 24 Volts DC minimum. The 1606-XLS960EE power supply features the IP 20 protection rating and it comes with the DIN-35 rail mounting base. The unit’s height is 124 millimeters with a width of 125 millimeters and a depth of 127 millimeters. The 1606-XLS960EE power supply features the DC-OK relay contact, a feature that effectively monitors the drive’s output. The DC-OK feature is independent of the back-fed voltage from the unit connected in parallel to the power supply output. The internal data logging feature stores the unit’s operating data over the life of the 1606-XLS960EE power supply. This includes data on the operational hours, the maximum ambient temperatures, the series of the unit, and other important information.
