The 1791-OA16 module is an AC block output module that has been developed by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation to be a multi-output device that can be paired with different kinds of equipment. This module can be installed in either a vertical or horizontal orientation. It has been designed to be mounted on a DIN rail. The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 1791-OA16 AC block output module operates with a voltage of 120 Volts AC and it can perform with a maximum output current rating of 600 mA at 30 degrees Celsius when it is mounted in a vertical way and one of 300 mA when it is mounted in a horizontal way. This rating decreases when the temperature rises. It is important to note that this module contains lots of sensitive electronic parts, and extremely humid and hot environments could cause damages to the module's structure. It must not come in contact with liquids under any circumstance. The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 1791-OA16 AC block output module comes with 16 outputs that are divided into 2 groups of 8 outputs. It has a surge current of 10 Amps for 50 milliseconds and an off-state leakage current of 3 mA maximum. This module requires an external power range of 85 to 132 Volts AC and a frequency of 47 to 63 Hertz. It has a height of 6.95 inches, a width of 2.7 inches, and a depth of 3.85 inches. These dimensions need to be checked to ensure that the module will have small clearances around it to promote ventilation. The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 1791-OA16 AC block output module features different status indicator lights that show the current status of the rack and the communication status.
