The Allen-Bradley 199-LF1 kit is a terminal lug kit which needs to be ordered separately from the controllers and starters that it is made for. It is part of the Bulletin 100 product line of terminal lug kits. The 199-LF1 kit should be disconnected from the power source prior to installation or servicing. The 199-LF1 kit can be used with 3-phase SMC-3 starters. The wire size which should be used for termination when the 199-LF1 kit is used with an SMC-3 starter is 16 to 120 millimeters squared. The recommended screw torque is 23 Nm or 200 pounds on an inch. The 199-LF1 kit can be used with SMC-3 controllers with the following current ranges: 108 to 135 Amps for which 3 terminal lugs are required for the line side and load side, and 201 to 251 Amps for which 6 terminal lugs are required for the line side and load side.

The 199-LF1 kit is also compatible with the SMC-Flex family of products. For SMC-Flex products, the recommended wire size is 16 to 120 millimeters square. The current ranges supported and the number of lugs required for the line and load sides are the same as those for the SMC-3 series products. Furthermore, the 199-LF1 kit can also be used with the SMC-50 series devices. The supported current ranges and the recommended wire sizes are the same as those for the SMC-3 and SMC-Flex products. The 199-LF1 kit is also compatible with the Bulletin 592 Eutectic Alloy overload relays which are manual reset, eutectic alloy, and thermal type overload devices. The Bulletin 592 relays are designed to protect motors, motor controllers, and power wiring against overheating caused by excessive overcurrents. Specifically, the 199-LF1 kit is compatible with a current transformer with the catalog number 592-JOV16 which is rated for 60 to 200 Amps of full current range.
