The 2750-AHD antenna is an intelligent antenna. It is part of the Bulletin 2750 product line from Allen-Bradley. It is designed to transmit and receive signals through a remote antenna head. The operating range for 2750-AHD antenna is 8 inches or 20 centimeters for both programmable tags and read/write RFID tags. The 2750-AHD antenna can perform read transactions with programmable tags and read/write transactions with read/write tags. Features available on the antenna include RX and TX connectors for connecting the coaxial cable to the antenna head, a remote antenna head, and 2 coaxial cables for the antenna to remote head connection. The 2750-AHD antenna also features a backplate with mounting holes, LED indicators for diagnostics, and a removable cover plate. The cover plate enables access to the DIP switch and wiring access.
The DIP switch on the Allen-Bradley 2750 Series 2750-AHD antenna can be used to set the node number of the antenna and to set the baud rate. The recommended tag to tag spacing for the 2750-AHD antenna is 38 inches or 96.5 centimeters for high power settings and 32 inches or 81.3 centimeters for low power settings. The 2750-AHD antenna comes with an orientation line which should be lined up with the orientation tags of the RFID tags. Furthermore, the face of the tag must be on a plane which is parallel to the plane of the antenna face with a tolerance of +/-25 degrees for the roll or pitch. The mounting dimensions of the 2750-AHD antenna are 12.87 x 13.5 x 4.37 inches. The power specifications are 24 Volts AC and 2 Amps.
