The Allen-Bradley 2750-AHPR antenna is an intelligent RFID antenna. It offers similar functionalities to the Allen-Bradley 2750-AHP antenna but provides enhanced programming and read/write ranges. The radio signal for the antenna is transmitted from a remote antenna head (catalog number 2750-H1). The antenna connects to the radio head over a pair of coaxial cables. The 2750-AHPR antenna can communicate with programmable RFID tags and with read/write RFID tags. For programmable tags, the programming range is 5 to 9 inches (12 to 18 centimeters) and the read range is 5 feet (152 centimeters). For read/write tags, the read/write range is 4 feet (122 centimeters). Allen-Bradley recommends that for read operations, the tag-to-tag spacing should be at least 3 times the antenna-to-tag spacing. For write operation, the antenna to tag distance depends on the power level setting.

There are 5 levels of RF power settings on the Allen-Bradley 2750 series 2750-AHPR intelligent antenna. The write range at level 1 is 8 feet, the range at level 2 it is 12 feet, the range at level 3 it is 18 feet, the range at level 4 it is 23 feet, and the range at level 5 is 32 feet. The read distance also depends on the RF power level and it varies anywhere between 6 and 60 inches from the antenna. The tag speed for read operation with programmable tags (catalog numbers 2750-TPX20, -TSHU40, -TAU40, -TFAU40) is 1100 feet per minute/40 characters at a distance of 5 feet. The antenna enclosure is a NEMA Type 4, 12, and 13 enclosure. The antenna material is diecast aluminum. Note that the 2750-AHPR antenna requires an FCC site approval license for use in the US.
