The Allen-Bradley 1791P-0B16P is a 16-point CompactBlock sourcing output module for the PROFIBUS DB. You can group together 4 or 8 outputs in a single block. Per-output, its maximum module current is 0.5 amps and its maximum surge current for 10 seconds of 1 amps is repeatable every 2 seconds. In its on-state, it has a voltage range of 10 to 30 Volts DC, it has a maximum current of 0.5 amps, and it has a voltage drop of 0.5 Volts DC at the rated current. The off-state leakage of the 1791P-0B16P module is a maximum of 0.5 amps. It comes with its own PROFIBUS adapter and requires installation on a secondary enclosure. Features of this module include autobaud detection and a hardware watchdog function. The hardware watchdog function provides real-time information about microprocessor condition. This feature will tell you if there are any failings or damage occurrences on the microprocessor. The autobaud detection matches system baud rate automatically so there will be no crash because of an incorrect baud setting.

The 1791P-0B16P is compatible with any PROFIBUS DP scanner. This block I/O needs to be installed in a secondary enclosure.
