The Allen Bradley 1791R-4B4P is a DC CompactBlock I/O. This module has 4 sinking inputs and 4 sourcing outputs, meaning the current will flow from input to output. This module is equipped with several convenient features, including a removable terminal, DIP switches, set rack address, and two types of panel mounting. The removable terminal allows you to change the wiring by simply retaining the screw and replacing the terminal. The DIP switches set the rack addresses on the module, reducing the commissioning time. Installing this module is easy because the two types of mountings allow this module to be installed in a horizontal or vertical mounting.  The 1791R-4B4P has the same input and output characteristics as other modules in the 1791R series. It has a power supply and adapter that power it up. Even if an external power supply is necessary, this device uses 24 volts of DC power that accommodate a wide range of power supplies. The range of on-state voltage input of the 1791R-4B4P is between 10 and 30 volts DC. Keep this device at or below a temperature of 40° C to ensure the best performance. The I/O block is near the sensors, lowering wiring costs because the only short wiring is necessary to install this module. This module can deliver power up to 0.5 amps per output, with an output voltage range between 10 and 30 volts DC.
