The Allen-Bradley 1790-T8A0X CompactBlock LDX I/O digital expansion module is an 8-bit input expansion I/O module with DeviceNet network capability that is designed to offer cost-effective I/O solutions to industrial automation applications. This B Series module and every other module in its class use the state-of-the-art device-level network known as DeviceNet, and it comes with a compact design that makes it suitable for low-cost and tight panel space applications. The 1790-T8A0X module is compatible with the Allen-Bradley PLC, SLC, Logix, or SoftLogix programmable controllers and it communicates with these controllers via the DeviceNet scanner modules. The 1790-T8A0X module’s data values are accessible via the data tables of the SLC or PLC controllers and the node addresses are configured by using rotary switches and the RSNetWorx for DeviceNet software.
The 1790-T8A0X module has 8 non-isolated inputs with 85 to 132 Volts AC on-state voltage range with 9 milliamps of maximum on-state current (at 132 Volts AC input), and an off-state voltage rating of 45 Volts AC maximum. This module requires an external 110 Volts AC power supply for operation, and it has a maximum power capacity of 3 Watts at 132 Volts AC input. The 1790-T8A0X module can be used for I/O expansion for both digital and analog base modules, and it can be configured easily by using the embedded ESD files. The 1790-T8A0X is compatible with the NEMA/UL Type 1 AC modules, and it comes with the fixed screw-type termination design. It has an isolation voltage rating of 1250 Volts AC, and it uses the 1 Amp, 240 Volts AC normal blow fuse for AC line protection. The 1790-T8A0X module has a maximum signal delay time of 10 milliseconds (off to on) and 30 milliseconds (on to off), and it also has 8 LED light status indicators which show the network and module status.
