The 1769-2WS is a CompactLogix compatible module that is manufactured by Hardy Process Solutions, a Rockwell Automation Silver Technology partner company. This module is a dual-channel weigh scale module and supports the connection of up to Eight (8) load cells / Points. The 1769-2WS has a backplane power consumption of < o.5 Ampere at 5VDC power supplied by the backplane. This module accepts -0.3mV through +15.3 mV signals and sense +5Vdc while the module output is 5VDC excitation voltage. It has a common mode rejection of 100dB at or below 60 Hz (minimum) and an internal module resolution of 1:8,388,608. This module can be operated in Net, Gross, Rate-of-change weighing modes with a data conversion rate of 100 updates per second. This module supports Two (2) calibration methods using the electronic method (C2) and the traditional method which is the use of test weights. The 1769-2WS occupies a single slot of the backplane and supports DIN-Rail or panel mounting. It attaches to the backplane via the integrated backplane connector pins on the side of the module which directly couples to the adjacent module. This module has built-in status indicators such as “OK” Module Status, bi-color LED “Scale 1” Functional Data, bi-color LED “Scale 2” Functional Data, bi-color LED.

The Hardy HI 1769-2WS module is a solid-state module that is specifically designed and manufactured by Hardy Process Solutions as a dual-channel module that can be adapted into the Allen-Bradley MicroLogix1500 and CompactLogix series programmable logic controllers. The main purpose of the Hardy HI 1769-2WS module is to read and condition the data that is measured by one or several pairs of strain gauge load sensors or load cells for further processing by the MicroLogix 1500 or CompactLogix series PLCs. With this module, it is possible to have a real-time weight measurement with no need for an external stand-alone scale. Instead, the module is built right into the system where the material that needs to be weighed. The Hardy HI 1769-2WS module can be used to supply 5 Volts DC voltage for up to eight 350-ohm load sensors or for load cells with two scales. Additional load cells can be supported by the use of external power supplies. The module’s input signals bring data to the PLC work in an analog range from -0.3 mV through +15.3 mV. The operating temperature of the module ranges from 0 to 60 degrees Celsius (32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit). There are two different ways to calibrate a Hardy HI 1769-2WS weight module, and they are the proprietary C2 Electronic Calibration method and the traditional method using test weights.
