It is a processor module with the same CPU performance capabilities as the L3 controller but it has a smaller form factor and is more cost-effective. The 1769-L24ER-QBFC1B is a packaged sink/source controller and it is best for small applications such as hoisting and cranes, indexing tables, and packaging. Up to 32 controller tasks and 100 programs per task can be handled by the 1769-L24ER-QBFC1B. This controller comes with a 1MB user memory that can be expanded by the 1 GB SD memory card shipped with the controller or by an optional 2 GB memory. It has One (1) USB port and Two (2) EtherNet/IP ports supporting DLR and for 256 EtherNet/IP and 120 TCP connections are also available. The 1769-L24ER-QBFC1B also comes with Sixteen (16) sourcing 24 Volts DC digital output points, an equal number of sinking/sourcing 24 Volts DC digital input points, Four (4) high-speed counters, Four (4) universal analog inputs, and Two (2) analog outputs.
