The CompactLogix modular controller with part number 1769-L32E is a Programmable Automation Controller (PAC) that is manufactured by Allen-Bradley. The default configuration of the RS232 interface are DF1 full-duplex, 19.2 Kbps, no parity, Station Address 0, No Handshaking, BCC error detection, Auto Detect embedded responses, 8 Data bits and 1 Stop bits. The ethernet communication requires initial configuration which may be done by using BOOTP-DHCP or by downloading through the RS232 interface. By using BOOTP-DHCP, an ethernet cable is needed to connect the controller to the BOOTP host.
