About MVI69-MNET

The MVI69-MNET is a Modbus TCP/IP communication module from ProSoft technology. It is able to be connected with the Rockwell Automation CompactLogix processors or the MicroLogix processors. It is made to be installed with a compatible power supply. It requires 1 free slot in the chassis to be installed with the system. The module has a current requirement of 800 mA. The MVI69-MNET is compatible with the Microsoft Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 1, or 2 or the Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional with Service Pack 1, 2, or 3, or the Microsoft Windows Server 2003 operating systems. The module is shipped along with the connection cables and the software CD.



The person installing the module is expected to be familiar with the Rockwell Automation RSLogix software and to be able to launch the program, configure the ladder logic, and transfer the logic to the processor. The person should also know how to use Microsoft Windows and be familiar with hardware installation and wiring to connect the module safely with the controller along with the power source. While installing the MVI69-MNET, it is recommended to follow the installation instructions as mentioned in the manuals by the manufacturer and it is also advised to follow the safety guidelines in the local regulations. The power to the system and the peripheral devices must be turned off when connecting the module to the chassis. Before turning on the power, make sure the connections are secure and done correctly. The MVI69-MNET module is not compatible with the CompactLogix L4x processors which are using the RSLogix 5000 v17 software.
