The Allen-Bradley 5069-L306ERMS3 is a part of the Compact GuardLogix product family. This controller is a SIL 3 rated controller and capable of implementing One (1) safety task aside from the 31 standard task. Additionally, it has a dedicated safety memory amounting to 0.3 MB and standard user memory of 0.6 MB.
This controller support programming languages specified by the IEC 61131-3 standard such as Ladder Diagram (LD), Structured Text (ST), Function Block Diagram (FBD), and Sequential Function Chart (SFC) while Safety Task is programmed using RLL and the additional safety application instructions including Add-On Instructions, Controller logging, Integrated motion using Kinetix 5700 ERS4 drives, Drive Safety Instructions, Ladder Diagram (LD), Language switching and Export program components.
This drive communicates using the embedded Dual Ethernet communication interface and US 2.0 port. For industrial communication, the Ethernet ports are used which may be connected to linear, star and Device Level Ring (DLR) topologies at speeds of 10 / 10 / 1000 Mbps communication rate. This port supports up to 12 Mbps communication rate.
The 5069-L306ERMS3 I/O capacity is 128,000 packets/second with message rate capacity of 2000 messages/second. The integrated motion capability of this controller allows configuration and control of up to 256 axes and 2 CIP drive axes that is configured with Position loop control method.
