The 5069-L320ERP is a Programmable Automation Controller (PAC) that is manufactured by Allen-Bradley. This controller is a CompactLogix Process Controller which is specifically designed for use with Allen-Bradley’s Distributed Control System (DCS) Plant PAx control system. This controller is used with the Version 5.0 Plant PAx and compatible with the templates and instructions used with the mentioned DCS system.
This controller comes with a conformally coated hardware which enable this controller to be used in applications with harsh and corrosive environments as conformal coating provides additional layer of protection to the electronic circuitry of this electronic device.
The 5069-L320ERP has 2MB user memory that is partnered with a 1784-SD2 2GB non-volatile memory. User are permitted to replace this memory card for upgrade purposes. Compatible replacement cards include 1784-SD1 (1 GB), 1784-SDHC8 (8 GB), 1784-SDHC32 (32 GB) and 9509-CMSDCD4 (4 GB) CodeMeter CmCard card. Up to Sixteen (16) local Compact 5000 I/O modules may be installed with the controller however, distributed I/O architecture may be implemented with the use of communication adapters. By default, Ethernet I/P network is supported by this controller as it comes with Two (2) Ethernet communication interfaces that support a variety of topologies including linear, star and Device Level Ring (DLR) topologies.
The 5069-L320ERP has an I/O capacity of 128,000 packets/second and message capacity of 2000 messages/second. The controller’s power supply requirement is 18…32V DC and input current of 450 mA, max. When the 5069-L320ERP process module operates in the Dual IP mode, each of the 2 Ethernet ports needs a separate IP address, but when the process module operates in the Linear/DLR mode, both Ethernet ports can share 1 IP address.
