The 5069-L350ERMS3 is a Compact GuardLogix controller. This Programmable Automation Controller (PAC) is rated Ssafety Integrity Level (SIL) 3 with may help achieve 1oo2 or fault-tolerant application. This controller is easily identified as it is mostly Red in color. It can perform standard and safety functions and it is provided with separate memory and task definitions to perform functions separately and simultaneously.
Specifically, this GuardLogix controller is designed to be configured with 1 Safety task and 31 Standard task of periodic, continuous and event drive type. Each task handles up to 1000 programs so even a single safety task can be configured to do a lot of functionalities. Also, for a safety task, it is recommended to have a simple and direct type of programming as complex programming may add up to the execution time of the program. Execution of all task can be initiated using all the available triggers to the controller.
This controller is also a motion controller. It has an integrated motion capability over Ethernet I/P that supports up to 256 motion axes and 24 CIP drive axes, specifically. A generic motion axes can be made of a CIP axes, virtually configured axes as well as Consumed, Regenerative AC/DC Converter and Non-Regenerative AC/DC Converter axis types.
This controller communicates using the dual Ethernet interfaces or the USB 2.0 ports. The ethernet port supports up to 1 Gbps communication speed and permits connection of up to 120 Ethernet I/P nodes and 32 socket connection over Ethernet network topologies such as Linear, Star and Device Level Ring (DLR).
