The Allen-Bradley 1756-A7K should be installed in an appropriate enclosure that is designed for certain environmental conditions. The 1756-A7K is designed on the horizontal rear panel assembly. The mounting tabs required of this chassis are 2 tops and 2bottomsm. The relative humidity of this chassis is from 5-95% without condensation. The operating vibration of this chassis is 2 g at 10-500 Hz. The operating shock of this chassis is 30 g. The nonoperating shock of this chassis is 30 g. The weight of the 1756-A7K is around 1.1 kg (2.4 lb). The minimum cabinet of this chassis is 50.8 x 60.9 x 20.3 cm (20 x 24 x 8 inch). Remember to ground the chassis. Use solid or stranded 8.3 mm2 (8 AWG) copper wire rated at 90 °C (194 °F) or larger to connect functional ground soil. Use solid or stranded 2.1 mm2 (14 AWG) copper wire rated 90 °C (194 °F) or larger to connect the ground’s protective soil. Tighten the nut on the protective soil ground for a torque of 16.27 N•m (12 lb•in). Connect the grounding conductors (functional and protective soil ground) from each chassis to the bolts on the ground bus. Use the ground electrode conductor for connecting the ground bus to the grounding electrode system. At a minimum, use solid or stranded 8.3 mm2 (8 AWG) copper wire rated at 90 °C (194 °F) or larger for ground electrode conductors to prevent EMI. The National Electrical Code determines the safety requirements for grounding electrode conductors.
