The Allen Bradley 1756-IF16IHK product is used basically for the confirmation and monitoring of digital and analog data from HART devices. This model of Digital I/O modules can be operated from any remote workstation and the channels are visible via a single location.

This particular model of HART devices features 16 input channels. It can also be very easily mounted on a ControlLogix chassis. All the field side wiring available in the 1756-IF16IHK is either a removable terminal block or a bulletin that is based on the 1492 wiring interface; this feature allows the user to connect all remote field-side wiring without any glitches.

The 1756-IF16IHK is supported by the HART primary value, secondary value, third value and fourth value which can be used as Controller Tags in control applications.

This unit is highly beneficial, allowing a user to connect directly to a HART device without the help of any kind of external multiplexers or extra wiring.

The range of input current for this particular module is from 0 to 20 mA and 4 to 20 mA at 5.1 volts, whereas its inrush current capacity can be measured to 400 mA at 5.1 Volts DC and 450 mA at max 24 Volts DC.
