This 1756-IM16IK isolated digital input module from Allen Bradley comes with 16 individually isolated inputs. The input voltage used is 240 Volts AC whereas the operating voltage range of this device goes between 159 and 265 Volts AC. The input delay time for this unit can be programmed to be 9 or 18 milliseconds. Its minimum operating current is 5 mA at 159 Volts AC, 60 Hertz, the maximum operating current being 13 mA at 265 Volts, 60 Hertz. The maximum input current Off state for this device peaks at 2.5 mA.
This isolated digital input module has a power dissipation capacity of maximum 5.8 Watts at 60 degrees Celsius. The backplane current at 5 Volts is 100 mA; at 24 Volts, it is 3 mA. This module’s conformal coat protects the internal circuitry from dust, pollution, moisture and temperature extremes as well.
The 1756-IM16IK allows a user to easily configure and monitor digital and analog data of any connected HART device from a remote location; the data displayed for any given channel is prominently visible from a single location.
This device is equipped with HART 5, 6 or 7 read/write capabilities. It also features the advanced Device Type Manager for the purposeful use of Asset Manager Software.
