The analog input module that is known as the 1756-IR12 module has been designed by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation and it is made for general-purpose applications and it has a variety of features in order to meet different requirements. The module has features like a notch filter, different module input ranges, a digital filter, a detection feature for under-range/over-range situations, sensor offset, wire off detection, and different sensor types. The 1756-IR12 module provides different input ranges for different sensor types and has the ability to automatically select the last used range-sensor configuration. The unit is part of the Bulletin 1756/ControlLogix product family which offers several other input modules with specifications geared to meet the demands of different applications in industrial environments.

The 1756-IR12 analog input module supports 3-wire RTD connections and it has 12 analog non-isolated channels. The module features 24-bit resolution and a status LED display. The module provides the following input/output ranges: 1 to 500, 2 to 1000, 4 to 2000, and 8 to 4000 Ohms.
