The Allen-Bradley 1756-L60M03SE is a legacy controller module that belongs to the ControLogix Programmable Automation Controller (PAC) product family. This module features and integrated memory of 750 KB with I/O memory capacity of 478KB. It has an integrated Three (3) SERCOS axes for motion control applications.

It has an integrated RS232 communication port and support a wide variety of communication protocols such as EtherNet/IP, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Data Highway Plus, Remote I/O and SynchLink. The integrated serial port support ASCII for barcode applications, DF1 full/half-duplex, DF1 radio modem, DH-485 and Modbus via a user-defined logic.Up to 250 Controller connections is supported by this controller.

This controller is compliant to IEC 61131-3 standard. This standard refers to the Five (5) Standard Programming languages that a PLC or PAC must support, The 1756-L60M03SE is compliant to these standard as it supports Relay ladder, Structured text ,Function block and Sequential Function Chart (SFC).

The integrated motion capability of this controller features compatibility with Encoder input, LDT input, and SSI input. For simple motion application, this module supports Stepper motor applications, Servo control via DeviceNet or Analog AC drive such as Variable Frequency Drives (VFD).

This controller support stand-alone configuration with a single rack installed or a distributed application wherein I/O modules are installed in different racks and communicated with the use of ControlLogix communication modules. It also supports non-ControlLogix I/O modules such as the Allen-Bradley Flex I/O and Point I/O systems. The compatible communication adapters for this module may also be used as pass through device, to allow controller to controller communication.
