The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 1756-L72EROM controller is an Armor ControlLogix type of ControlLogix series controller. It does not support controller redundancy setups but it does support standard communication on EtherNet/IP industrial networks. The Allen-Bradley 1756-L72EROM is an Armor ControlLogix controller. It can handle up to 32 tasks, with 1000 programs per task. It has a 4 MB memory available for data and logic, an I/O memory of 0.98 MB, and an installed 1 GB SD card for backup memory. The controller comes with a maximum digital I/O and total I/O of 128,000 each and a maximum analog I/O of 4000. This controller comes with 1 Type B 2.0 full-speed USB port and 4 EtherNet M12 Category 5E ports. Up to 256 EtherNet/IP connections and 128 TCP network connections per network module can be supported by this controller. Note that this controller does not have serial port communication available. The 1756-L72EROM controller also supports a maximum of 500 controller connections but it does not support controller redundancy. Programming languages available with this controller are structured text, relay ladder, sequential function chart (SFC), and function block. The 1756-L72EROM comes with a UL Type 4/4x enclosure, measures 9.4 x 11.5 x 6.5 inches, and weighs 15.50 lbs or 7.04 kg. The input voltage range is 18-32V DC and the nominal input voltage is 24V DC. A non-replaceable fuse is soldered into place and it guards against fire hazards because of short circuit conditions. The 1756-L72EROM’s continuous isolation voltage is 30 V which is of a basic insulation type from non-redundant Ethernet channels to non-redundant Ethernet channels, Ethernet channels to power, and power to enclosure. No isolation exists between redundant Ethernet channels. This controller's isolation has been type-tested at 707V DC for 60 seconds. The 1756-L72EROM’s non-condensing relative humidity is 5-95%. The operating temperature ranges from 0-60 ËšC and the non-operating temperature ranges from -40-85 ËšC. This controller also has an operating vibration of 2 g at 10-500 Hz, an operating shock of 30 g, and a non-operating shock of 50 g.
