The 1756-L83E-NSE Controller is an Allen-Bradley ControlLogix controller that is manufactured as a member of the ControlLogix 5580 Controller product family. These devices are engineered and intended to provide scalable controller solutions which can address the many input and output points in a system. This controller can be put into any of the slots of the ControlLogix I/O chassis and installed with different controllers in the same chassis. The Allen-Bradley 1756-L83E-NSE Controller helps to monitor and control inputs and outputs across the backplane of the ControlLogix system as well as over the network links. The Allen-Bradley ControlLogix 5580 Controllers feature an embedded Ethernet port for direct connection to the Ethernet-enabled networks and devices. They also support the communication interface module found in the local chassis. The ControlLogix 5580 Controllers are designed for use in the applications that require the installed controller to exhaust its residual stored energy to the specific levels before being transported into or out of the application.

It comes with a user memory capacity of 3 MB, and an optional nonvolatile memory capacity of 2 GB in a memory unit which is shipped pre-installed in the controller.
