The Allen-Bradley 1756-LSC8XIB8I is a ControlLogix low-speed counter module. It is an eight input point, eight counter, 24V high-speed DC isolated sink/source input module with a standard input or counter control functionality. Eight dedicated counters that have a maximum counting frequency of 40 kHz are available for this module and a counter returns accumulated count, instantaneous frequency, average frequency, instantaneous pulse width, and average pulse width. It is a 31-bit counter with a count range of 0 to 2,147,483,648.

It requires a removable terminal block housing, or RTB, of either the 1756-TBS6H or 1756-TBCH before it can be connected to a compatible ControlLogix chassis.

The 1756-LSC8XIB8I module has an operating voltage range of 10 to 30V DC and a nominal input voltage of 24V DC. It also has a current draw of 275 mA at 5.1V DC and 3 mA at 24V DC. It also has a total backplane power of 1.47 W. During an off-state, it has a maximum voltage of 5V and a maximum current of 1.5 mA. When in an on-state, its current ranges from a minimum of 2 mA at 10V DC and a maximum of 5 mA at 30V DC. The 1756-SC8XIB8I module also has a continuous isolation voltage of 250V. It has been type tested at 1500V AC for 60 s input-to-input and 2300V AC for 60 s inputs-to-backplane.

This module has a thermal dissipation of 12.97 BTU/hr. Its screw to backplane input delay time, from off to on and vice versa, is 14 µs nominal/23 µs maximum + user-configurable filter time of 0 to 30,000 µs. It has an operating temperature range of 0 to 60 Degrees Celsius and a non-operating range of -40 to 85 Degrees Celsius. It has a vibration of 2 g at 10 to 500 Hz, operating shock of 30 g, and a non-operating shock of 50 g.
