The expansion memory module that is known as the 1756-M2 memory module is used for various applications within harsh industrial environments. The unit is part of the ControlLogix 1756 product series introduced by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. The ControlLogix system can be constructed from a variety of high-performance components like processors, controllers, memory boards, and different analog and digital modules. The ControlLogix modules are mounted in the chassis and they communicate through the ControlNet and EtherNet/IP networks.
