1756-PA50

The Allen-Bradley 1756-PA50 is a ControlLogix Standard Power supply. This power supply is primarily used to provide power to a ControlLogix rack, whether local or distributed I/O rack. It is mounted on the leftmost side of the chassis with input voltage range of 85-265VAC and nominal rating of 120V/240VAC.

The 1756-PA50 is compatible with a variety of ControlLogix chassis such as 1756-A4, 1756-A7, 1756-A10, 1756-A13, and 1756-A17. Compatible chassis versions are Series A, B and C.

The 1756-PA50 has an input power requirement of 81 W/91VA @ 50 °C (122 °F) 68 W/77VA @ 60 °C (140 °F) and delivers maximum output power of 60 W @ 0 - 50 °C (+32…+122 °F) and 50 W @ 0-60 °C (+32…+140 °F) and capable of withstanding an inrush current rating of 20 A.

The 1756-PA50 has a Current capacity of 1.5A at 1.2V; 2A at 3.3V; 8 A @ 50 °C (122 °F) 6 A @ 60 °C (140 °F) at 5.1V and 2.5 A @ 50 °C (122 °F) 2.0 A @ 60 °C (140 °F) at 24V with isolation voltage rating of 250V (continuous), Reinforced Insulation Type, Power Input to Backplane Type tested @ 3150V DC for 60 s.

The 1756-PA50 is exclusively used as a system power supply. It cannot be used to supply voltage and power to electrical devices and distribute output via terminal blocks. When wiring input wires to this power supply module, appropriate wire size is 2.5 sq. mm. or 14 AWG solid or stranded copper wire with insulation rating of 90 °C (194 °F), or higher, with insulation thickness of 1.2 mm (3/64 in.).

It has an input frequency range of 47 - 63 Hz. It has maximum input power of 81W/91VA at 50 °C (122 °F), 68W/77VA at 60 °C (140 °F) and a maximum output power of 60W at 0 - 50 °C (32 - 122 °F) and of 50W at 0 - 60 °C (32 - 140 °F). It has a current capacity of 1.5A at 1.2V DC, 2A at 3.3V DC, 8A (50 °C) and 6A (60 °C) at 5.1V DC and 2.5A (50 °C) and 2.0A (60 °C) at 24V DC. It has dimensions of 5.51 x 3.07 x 5.71 in. and weighs 1.7 lbs. It has 250V (continuous) isolation voltage and maximum inrush current of 20A. It is installed on the left side slot of the 1756 ControlLogix chassis with an open type enclosure. It is compatible with the 1756-A4, 1756-A7, 1756-A10, 1756-A13 and the 1756-A17 chassis (Series A, B, and C) chassis. For wiring, 2.5 sq. mm. (14 AWG) solid or stranded copper wire rated at 90 °C (194 °F) or greater with maximum insulation of 1.2 mm (3/64 in.) is used. The 1756-PA50 power supply is intended for use in an industrial environment with 0 - 60 °C (32-140 °F) operating temperature, 30g operating shock and 5 - 95% noncondensing relative humidity.
