About MVI56-DFCM

Manufactured by inRAx, the MVI56-DFCM Slave Communications Network Interface Module is a network interface module device that allows the DF1 ports on a ControlLogix system to add DF1 half and full-duplex master and slave capabilities to the processor to interface with the DF1 protocol-supported SCADA and field devices. The MVI56-DFCM can support Rockwell Automation devices as well as other manufacturer devices that use DF1 protocols. The MVI56-DFCM supports most end devices along with Modicon PLCs. The MVI56-DFCM interface module has 2 serial ports with DF1 support for easier interface with a PC and other devices that allow for all kinds of actions like status checks, monitoring, configuration, and troubleshooting. The serial cable for this purpose is provided with the module when it is shipped.

The amperage rating of the MVI56-DFCM ranges between 3 and 800 mA and the communications rating ranges between 110 and 115200 baud. The MVI56-DFCM has a voltage rating ranging between 5 and 24 Volts DC. The operational temperature range for the MVI56-DFCM module fluctuates between 32 and 140 degrees Fahrenheit. Pre-configured drive settings for the MVI56-DFCM can be downloaded and installed on the module from a PC. The configuration of the device is obtained via ladders that are customizable by the end user.
