MVI56-DFCMR

The Prosoft Technology MVI56-DFCMR is a DF1 Interface Module with Reduced Data Block. This module is built to engage a small I/O data area for data transferring to and from the ControlLogix processor. There are three ports visible from the front side of the module. The first one is for debugging and configuration processes and it is designated as CFG. The other two (PRT1 and PRT2) are application ports that provide full hardware handshaking control, and additionally, they are appropriate to be used for radio, modem and multi-drop activities. Each of these ports is user-configurable to be a master or a slave. The MVI56-DFCMR is a single-slot master/slave communication module that is characterized by a reduced data block.

This communication module is a ControlLogix backplane compatible module which takes 0.8 Amps of current from 5 Volts DC supplied backplane. It provides interface capabilities to ControlLogix PLCs to exchange data with DF1 protocol compatible devices and hosts. The DF1 protocol is generally used by Allen-Bradley PLCs, power monitoring equipment, and by third-party devices available in the market. The Prosoft MVI56-DFCMR is specialized for supporting Ethernet or ControlNet applications with the module in a remote rack. Ladder logic programming is needed for data to be transferred between this interface module and processors. When you order this module, it will be delivered with RS232 null modem cable, RJ45 to the DB9 male adapter cable, and two 1454-9F adapters for the DB9 female to screw terminal connection. There is also a CD included that contains documentation, sample programs, and utilities for this interface module.
