The Allen-Bradley 5094-IY8 thermocouple input module is an analog 8-channel input module that has 8 differential and single-ended inputs for connecting to other industrial machines. Its input current ratings are 0 to 20 milliamps and 4 to 20 milliamps. The 5094-IY8 thermocouple analog input module has a common-mode voltage rating of +/- 10 Volts. This analog 8-channel input module is well-suited for industrial applications like process control and high-speed digital control. It uses Producer/Consumer technology that lets data be shared between multiple Allen-Bradley Logix 5000 controllers. The 5094-IY8 input module can operate in the voltage mode or the current mode. It does not come with terminal base (TB) assembly, but a separate one needs to be installed so that field-side wiring can be connected to the module.
The Allen-Bradley 5094-IY8 input module uses 24 Volts DC voltage from the field-side power source that is attached to the module’s field-side wiring.
