1794-IE8K

The 1794-IE8K by Allen Bradley is a Flex input/output analog module with a conformal coating for added protection. It is an 8-point single ended module running on 24 Volts DC. This module is specialized to work for such applications that are dependent upon rack based functionality. The whole system includes a variable I/O system, a terminal base supply, and a power supply. The 1794-IE8K module supports the terminal blocks 1794-TB2, 1794-TB3S, and 1794-TB3S at a power dissipation of 3 Watts. There are provisions for screw mounting and options to use DIN rail mounts.

This analog I/O module interfaces signals using block transfers, so if any module uses a similar configuration it can be mated to work with the 1794-IE8K. These transfers are made through BTR and BTW instructions using ladder programming.

This unit supports an open style enclosure and has a built in indicator for process identification. It has 3 key switch positions and an operating temperature range between 0 and 55 degrees Celsius.

Every instruction inside the module 1794-IE8K is stored in an integer format; there is no need for manual calibration as this module is internally calibrated for minute changes as per the application. Each of the 8 inputs are individually configurable depending upon the requirement.

Remove the field side power before installing the module as it may damage the device or pose danger to the personnel as well. The length of the cable should be no longer than 33 feet.
