About 1794-IF4I

The Allen-Bradley 1794-IF4I is a FLEX isolated I/O module. This 24 Volts DC analog module has 4 differential-ended, isolated inputs available and comes with a power and status indicator. It is compatible with a number of terminal base units, namely the 1794-TBT, 1794-TBT3S, 1794-TB3, 1794-TB3S, 1794-TBNF, and the 1794-TBN. The 1794-IF4I has a 16 bits unipolar resolution, 15 bits + bipolar resolution, and an open-type enclosure. It can be mounted using a DIN rail or a panel. The 1794-IF4I has a sigma-delta input conversion type with an input conversion rate of 2.5 to 7.5 milliseconds for all channels. It arrives factory-calibrated and it can be recalibrated when necessary. Its accuracy is 0.1% full scale at 25 degrees Celsius for both the voltage input and current input. Note that the voltage input accuracy includes gain, repeatability, offset, and nonlinearity error terms. The module has a Flexbus current of 50 mA and a Flexbus voltage of 5 Volts DC.

Its external DC power supply current is 80 mA at 24 Volts DC and its external DC power supply nominal voltage range is 19.2 to 31.2 Volts DC, including a 5% AC ripple. The 1794-IF4I has a current draw of 145 mA at 5.1 Volts and 125 mA at 24 Volts. It also has varying input current terminal ranges of 4 to 20 mA, 0 to 20 mA, and +/-20 mA, as well as varying input voltage terminal ranges of +/-10 Volts, 0 to 10 Volts, +/-5 Volts, and 0 to 5 Volts, all of which are user-configurable. The 1794-IF4I’s isolation voltage depends on what terminal base unit is installed to it. Its continuous isolation voltage is 120 Volts when using the 1794-TBT3S, 1794-TB3T, 1794-TB3S, 1794-TB3, and the 1794-TB2 base units. When using a 1794-TBN base unit, its continuous isolation voltage becomes 250 Volts. This module has an operating temperature of -20 to 55 degrees Celsius and a non-operating temperature of -40 to 85 degrees Celsius. Its maximum surrounding air temperature is 55 degrees Celsius and it has a non-condensing relative humidity of 5 to 95%. It has an operating vibration of 5 G, a non-operating shock of 50 G and an operating shock of 30 G.
