The 1794-IF4IXT module is a FLEX XT I/O isolated input analog module manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. This module is carefully designed to be used in industrial electronics and industrial automation applications. When analog signals are sent from field sensors over cables are over 10 meters long, these signals can be obstructed by unwanted interference signals and by ground potential differences that can occur in 1 control loop. The 1794-IF4IXT 4-channel analog input FLEX XT I/O module has channel-to-channel isolation and is predicted to work with a wide assortment of ±10 Volts and 0 to 20 mA rated sensors and field devices. Each of the 4 analog inputs is individually configurable for operation with voltage or current power. This distributed I/O system module can be paired with 2-wire, 3-wire, and 4-wire input sensors.
The Allen-Bradley 1794-IF4IXT module is the extended temperature version of the Allen-Bradley 1794-IF4I analog input module. For upgraded performance and higher temperature resistance, the PCB and its components in this device are all conformally coated and they have stable low-temperature-coefficients. This is the reason why the operating temperature range for the 1794-IF4IXT module is -20 to 70 degrees Celsius. It is tested thoroughly for performance in analog signal processing in surroundings with signal interference and it is a proven technical solution for providing isolation of the low-voltage signals from the field. Each analog input on the module has a 16-bit resolution for unipolar signals and 15-bit resolution for bipolar signals. The unit is factory calibrated and delivered in a 46-millimeter x 94-millimeter x 53-millimeter housing. This module is mounted on 1 of the following base terminals, the 1794-TBN, 1794-TB2, 1794-TB3, 1794-TB3S, 1794-TB3T, 1794-TB3TS, 1794-TBNK, 1794-TB3K, 1794-TB3SK, 1794-TB3TK, or the 1794-TB3TSK base.
