1794-PS13

The Allen-Bradley 1794-PS13 is a Power supply module that is part of the PowerFlex I/O product family. This power supply has a power surge that is enough to power up to Four (4) adapter. It has a voltage input range of 85-264VAC, 47-63 Hz and provides a nominal output voltage of 24VDC.

The 1794-PS13 supports the installation method of the entire PowerFlex I/O system. It supports daisy chaining of the supply output, to power up the supported adapters and may also be used in combination with AC and DC modules. This power supply has built-in indicator that energizes Green when the output voltage is greater than 20.4V DC, but less than 28V DC and remains OFF when no power applied to the power supply, output voltage exceeded 35V DC, and overvoltage protection shut the unit down and output current is above 1.4 A.

The 1794-PS13 has a physical dimension of 87 (H) x 69 (W) x 69 (D) mm 3.4 (H) x 2.7 (W) x 2.7 (D) inches. It has an open type enclosure and requires wire size of 0.34-2.5 mm2 (22-12 AWG) solid or stranded copper wire with insulation rating of 75 °C (167 °F ), or higher, and maximum insulation thickness of 1.2 mm (3/64 in.). The module’s wiring category is 2, and requires application of 0.8 Nm (7 lbs-in.) Torque to tighten connections.

The 1794-PS13 has an output voltage range of 20.4-27.6 VDC including noise and 5% AC ripple. It has a 1.3 A output current, output power of 31.2 Watts and output ripple of 1200 mV peak-to-peak.

The overvoltage protection of the 1794-PS13 module is internally limited to 40 Volts DC for the output. The 1794-PS13 comes with a power indicator that turns green when it is on and the output voltage is greater than 20.4 Volts DC but less than 28 Volts DC. This indicator does not light up when turned off. The entire module measures 3.4 x 2.7 x 2.7 inches and it has an open-type enclosure. Isolation between the AC input terminals and DC output terminals are required for this module and the isolation voltage requirement is 2500 Volts DC for 1 seconds. The nominal output of this module is +24 Volts DC and its output voltage regulation is 20.4 to 27.6 Volts DC, +/- 15% including noise and the 5% AC ripple. The module's output power is 31.2 W, the maximum output ripple is +/-5% 1200 mV peak-to-peak, and the maximum output current is 1.3 Amps. Its power dissipation is 7 W and thermal dissipation is 23.9 BTU/hour. The 1794-PS13’s operating temperature of 0 to 55 degrees Celsius and its storage temperature is -40 to 85 degrees Celsius, as well as a relative humidity of 5 to 95% (non-condensing). The module also has an operating vibration of 5 g at 10 to 100 Hertz, an operating shock of 30 g, and a non-operating shock of 50 g.
