The 100-D140H11 contactor is a contactor developed for high-power industrial applications by Allen-Bradley. It is part of the Bulletin 100-D family of IEC contactors that are designed to be environmentally friendly. Allen-Bradley provides these contactors with a wide range of current ratings and AC/DC electronic or convectional coils. The contactor coils can also be ordered for a wide range of different AC/DC control voltages. The 100-D140H11 Bulletin 100-D contactor has a conventional coil that is rated for 208 Volts AC. The operating current rating of the 100-D140H11 contactor is 140 Amps. This current rating is valid for -25 to 60 degrees Celsius. If the ambient temperature rises to 70 degrees Celsius, then the current rating reduces by at least 15%.
The Allen-Bradley 100-D140H11 Bulletin 100-D contactor can also become damaged if it is operated outside the recommended range of temperature values. For storage, the recommended temperature range is -40 to 80 degrees Celsius. Allen-Bradley also recommends that the contactor be operated at altitudes of up to 2000 meters only. The protection rating of the 100-D140H11 contactor is IP 00 and it is designed for indoor installation and operation only. The contactor features 1 NC auxiliary contact and 1 NO auxiliary contact and both of these have an IP 20 protection rating. The maximum current carrying capacity of the 100-D140H11 contactor for single-phase AC voltage is 250 Amps. Because very high levels of current and voltage are present, the contactor should only be installed by trained technicians who know and follow all of the installation instructions provided by Allen-Bradley.
