The 100-D140J11 contactor is an MCS contactor manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. It is an IEC-certified non-reversing contactor from the Bulletin 100-D contactor series. It has a maximum current rating of 140 Amps for AC-3 applications and 250 Amps for AC-1 applications. The Allen-Bradley 100-D140J11 contactor is a large-frame IEC non-reversing contactor with a conventional coil and AC control. The conventional AC coil (coil voltage code "J") has a voltage rating of 24 Volts. The operational frequency rating of the coil is 60 Hertz. This contactor does not have an electronic interface. This non-reversing AC-operated contactor unit has 3 power poles or main contacts as well as 2 external auxiliary contacts. The 100-D140J11 contactor specifically has one N.O. contact and one N.C. contact as its side-mounted auxiliary contacts. Auxiliary contact blocks are also available and they can be easily snapped onto the unit to provide additional auxiliary contacts.
According to the UL/CSA standards, the 3-pole AC-powered Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 100-D140J11 non-reversing contactor has 3-phase power ratings of 40 Horsepower at 200 Volts, 50 Horsepower at 230 Volts, and 100 Horsepower at 460 Volts. The main contacts terminal of the 100-D140J11 contactor has screw-type connections. The main terminal can accept conductors that are up to 8.3 millimeters in diameter. The size of the conductor that is used should be between 6 AWG and 300 MCM, according to the UL/CSA specifications. At 400 Volts, the contactor unit's total power dissipation rating is 34.6 Watts. Only panel mounting is possible with the 100-D140J11 non-reversing contactor. During operation, the contactor can withstand temperatures ranging from -25 to +60 degrees Celsius, and it can be stored at temperatures ranging from -40 to +80 degrees Celsius.
