The Allen-Bradley Bulletin 100-D series 100-D180EN00 contactor has an AC-actuated electronic coil for energizing and de-energizing the contacts. This coil has 2 primary contacts (A1 and A2) for connecting to a power supply and an additional connector (X5) with 3 terminals for wiring to pilot devices. The 100-D180EN00 contactor’s coil also has an S1 switch that provides a direct interface to a PLC. The 100-D180EN00 contactor is capable of using low coil switching voltage ratings (24 Volts DC at 10 milliamps) that are suitable for a PLC connection. The 100-D180EN00 contactor has a control voltage rating of 380 Volts AC to 500 Volts AC (at 50 Hertz) for its electronic coil. The 100-D180EN00 contactor also has a built-in surge suppression feature and Class B insulation for a high degree of thermal and electrical protection. The 100-D180EN00 contactor is designed for high levels of electrical switching, and it has a rated operating voltage of up to 1000 Volts AC.
The Allen-Bradley 100-D180EN00 Bulletin 100-D contactor accepts only AC inputs with a 3-phase nominal input voltage range from 115 to 600 Volts AC (at 50 to 60 Hertz line frequency). It has a rated switching power of 90 kilowatts at 415 Volts and a maximum carrying current of 180 Amps at 400 Volts AC. A 3-phase AC power source is wired to the 100-D180EN00 contactor’s contacts via its 3 main normally open (NO) contacts. Each contact has a flat-end bolt-in terminal for fast and convenient wiring and installation. No side-mounted auxiliary contacts are supplied with this contactor, however, snap-in and side-mounted auxiliary contact blocks can be added by the users to enhance the contactor’s wiring and control functionalities. The Bulletin 100-D series offers a complete range of accessories such as optional terminals, terminal lugs, and ring lugs to customize the Bulletin 100-D drives and enhance their operating processes.
