The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 100-D180H11 contactor is a Bulletin 100-D series IEC contactor that has auxiliary contacts. The auxiliary contacts are located on the sides of the 100-D180H11 IEC contactor, and one is normally closed while the other one is normally open. The 100-D180H11 IEC contactor also has 3 main contacts on its top side, all of which are normally open. The conventional coil that is used by this contactor has a voltage rating of 208 Volts AC at a frequency rating of 60 Hertz. The coil also has Class B insulation, but no electronic interface because it is not an electronic type of coil. The 100-D180H11 IEC contactor can be stored at -40 to 80 degrees Celsius and operated normally at -25 to 60 degrees Celsius.

Under special circumstances and in certain applications, the Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 100-D180H11 Bulletin 100-D IEC contactor can operate at an absolute maximum ambient temperature of 70 degrees Celsius, but only if its current is derated properly. The contactor’s current must be derated by at least 15% when the contactor operates at temperatures above 60 degrees Celsius to avoid damage. The 100-D180H11 contactor is designed exclusively for indoor use because it has only an IP 00 environmental protection rating. It is manufactured to be protected against accidental contact, which prevents the users from injuring their hands or fingers while using the contactor, but it is not strongly protected against water and dust. Accessories such as auxiliary contact blocks, contactor covers, and frame terminal blocks can increase the contactor’s protection rating to IP 10 or to IP 20, but the 100-D180H11 IEC contactor still should not be used in outdoor environments.
