The 100-D180J00 contactor is an MCS Bulletin 100-D non-reversing type of contactor that is manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. It has a maximum operating current of 180 Amps for AC-3 utilization category applications. The 100-D180J00 contactor is an IEC contactor that comes equipped with a conventional coil and with AC coil voltage. The control voltage of the coil is rated at 24 Volts AC with 60 Hertz of coil frequency. Because this contactor has a conventional coil, it does not provide an EI or electronic interface. This 3-phase non-reversing IEC contactor comes with 3 main poles (power contacts) and no built-in N.O. or N.C. auxiliary contacts. The Allen-Bradley 100-D180J00 contactor, like all the others in the Bulletin 100-D series, provides thru-hole screw type connection terminals.

The Allen-Bradley 100-D180J00 Bulletin 100-D non-reversing IEC contactor supports 3-phase output power ratings of 50 Horsepower at 200 Volts, 60 Horsepower at 230 Volts, and 150 Horsepower at 460 Volts per the UL/CSA specifications. The AC-1 operating current of this contactor is rated at 250 Amps at 690 Volts AC with 50 Hertz coil frequency and an ambient temperature of 40 degrees Celsius. The optimal operating temperature range of 100-D180J00 contactor is between -25 and 60 degrees Celsius. When operating at a higher temperature (up to 70 degrees Celsius), the current rating of the unit must be reduced. The conventional AC coil on the 100-D180J00 contactor features a Type 2 SCCR (Short Circuit Coordination Rating) at rated voltages of 400 and 415 Volts. The 60 Hertz AC coil on the contactor has 650 Volt-Amps of pick-up power consumption and 50 Volt-Amps of hold-in power consumption. The contactor's enclosure is rated “IP 00,” which means it is not protected against solid particles or liquids, but when it is used with a frame terminal block, the protection class rating increases to “IP 20.”
