The 100-D180K00 contactor from Allen-Bradley is a basic IEC contactor with a low-power conventional coil from the Allen-Bradley IEC 100 Contactors and Bulletin 100-D series. It does not come with a lot of special built-in features but it is able to be customized with accessories for certain applications. For example, the 100-D180K00 contactor has no auxiliary contacts, but auxiliary contacts can be added to it with contact blocks that also help to protect the contactor from dust and from water and other liquids. The 100-D180K00 contactor has only an IP 00 protection rating, but optional auxiliary contacts can give it an IP 20 protection rating which will provide it with significantly more protection against common environmental hazards in indoor industrial settings. The 100-D180K00 contactor should never be used outdoors, even with protective accessories.

When it is not currently in use, the Allen-Bradley 100-D180K00 Bulletin 100-D IEC contactor can be stored in any clean and dry environment with an ambient temperature range between -40 and 176 degrees Fahrenheit. It can operate with its full current and other full power ratings at an ambient temperature range between -13 and 140 degrees Fahrenheit, and it can operate with its current reduced by 15% at an ambient temperature range between 140 and 158 degrees Fahrenheit. The conventional coil used by the 100-D180K00 contactor only needs 24 Volts AC voltage to operate, but it cannot support an electronic interface. The coil frequency rating is 50 Hertz and the coil insulation rating is Class B. The 100-D180K00 contactor supports 1000 Volts of isolation voltage per the IEC standards and 600 Volts of isolation voltage per the UL and CSA standards.
